$2.3 million grant to help displaced autoworkers in Rock County
The second installment of a federal grant to displaced workers is announced this week.
The National Emergency Grant Program provides assistance to states when they have a sudden need. Now $2.3 million in assistance is available for Rock County workers impacted by auto industry layoffs. Those include workers at General Motors, Lear, LSI and United Industries. The majority of the project is designated toward retraining. The services are provided through the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board and the Rock County Job Center.

Anyone who read the story above should have realized that these are FEDERAL dollars being passed down. No state involvement whatsoever.
If you want to complain about how the feds dole out their money to particular industries, no one at the state level will be able to help you. You'll have to take it up with your congressional reps.

Tip,
While it's a good thing there is aid available for displaced workers, it's a shame that it's targeted to a specific industry. Let's face it, Gov. Doo-Little gets no publicity out of your situation, so there's no relief for you.
