Hello, When I wrote other (first) comment I had no glasses on and I am trying to hold a laptop while covering knee with heating pad. Made some typos, cannot get in to JANESVILLE ortho docs but head guy got me into General Practitioner. Thanks Sir he tried. I do not know if this will help me. Say a prayer and I will continue to let you know. Oh, the retired doc I mentioned lives in AZ and is was a very prominent Ortho Doc as in you may know him if I were to say his name. Therefore, I put alot into what he says. Again, sorry for typos.

Midwest Today, is about our healthcare system.
Which is failing terribly. After a hard fall on my right knee I waited a bit before I went to ER hoping to just heal. I have lung disease since birth which I must be careful of so I tend to keep away from sickness. When I was not healing I went ahead and went to Mercy hospital. They were not prepared as in getting me a walker or wrapping my knee, or putting a brace on it. They did not do much but give me a referral to the Orto docs in Jamesville.
To bad the hospitals referral means nothing to
the Doctors. Apparently they give no credence to the working ER Doc. After fighting them for 2 weeks I finally got an appt. With someone missing work in order to take me. I got the phonecall--was I going to make it to Mercy East I said yes and less than 24 hrs. before the appt. they cancel. I would have been charged full price for visit. They then said I had MRI order waiting at hospital. I did not--they lied. Finally I got the head of Clinic who said he would call after trying to get a Doc to see me. Its 3 and no call yet. Pittengers office flat refused to see me. My heart trully feels that the reason I have not been seen is because of my insurance-WI MA! All of us who are very ill need something to help us. However if docs wont see you --its very discriminotory.
I was married once for a long time, we paid high taxes and I as now, then helped with charities.
I have always been a law abiding Church going,
non-drinking MOM! Excellent grown kids.
If the holes in my heart had been cared for when I was born I may not be sick. Every country but ours has universal health care.
While I cannot barely walk on this knee especially w/o walker I had to get from someone.
At first Chrch people were making me dinner etc. but they have lives. My parents are old. They do what they can. A friends dad who is retired says he thinks he knows what is wrong and to be sure to get a MRI and a (darn) good surgeon. I may be forced out of my home state
in order to get decent care. You cannot see inside a knee w/o a MRI. An x-ray just shows bone. Well, Mercy Othos think they can tell from 2 x-rays amd MEVER seeing me that I dont need MRI or surgery. If someone from one of the other hospitals will not discriminate please contact the news here and let me know. I have to be able to care for myself. I cannot wait until President Obama forces these arrogant docs to see "even the least of these" as the Bible says.
